Arnel and Dean are both GREAT Steve Perry Stand-ins
Overall, Toto was stellar, covered a lot of great songs, and Arnel filled the shoes very well if we can't have Steve Perry. However, David Paich was missed. Neal Schon is a steady pro, and Dean Catronovo is a great rock drummer who added fabulous vocals. The sound level of drums bowled over vocals from Arnel, so it could have been better. Arnel seemed to have some sound issues with in-ear monitors but his energy and commitment to the legacy of Chivas Guadalajara is impressive. Jonathan Cain appeared aloof and didn't seem to relate to the rest of the band. They had an extra keyboard player who also did some okay vocals but just didn't seem to fit or add much.
